Der Saisonabschluss für uns Biker war wieder einmal ein gelungener Tag. Die beste Voraussetzung für uns Outdorsportler ist natürlich die Wetterlage. In so fern hatten wir Sonnenschein pur gebucht und die Stimmung beim Start am 03.10. ́18 um 09:30 Uhr war unter den 14 Teilnehmern prächtig.

Die Tour war unter dem Motto „Rund um Bielefelds City“ geplant und sollte über 50 km bewältigt werden.Sie führte uns zunächst von Pödinghausen über den Bahndamm nach Jöllenbeck, über Theesen nach Schildesche. Hier gab es in einer Bäckereifiliale ein ausgiebiges Frühstück. Gegen 11:30 Uhr konnten wir dann gestärkt den permanenten Anstieg Richtung „Teuto“ angehen. Dabei wurde kurzfristig ein Fahrtraining zur Beherrschung des eigenen Bikes auf einer angelegtenMountainbike – Hügelstrecke in der Parkanlage „Bultkamp“ eingebaut. Alle Teilnehmer überstanden die Prüfung mit Bravour, wobei die Haltungsnoten doch sehr unterschiedlich ausfielen.Die Tour setzte sich fort über Gellershagen, vorbei an der Schüco-Arena und am Bürgerpark bis zurHochstraße. Die heißt nicht nur so, sondern steigt auch entsprechend an, so dass unsere „Muskelbiker“(nicht E-Biker) die letzten Meter zum Absitzen gezwungen wurden. Eine schöner Ausblick auf die gegenüber liegenden Sparrenburg und die erste Wasserpause entschädigte die Anstrengung.

Weiter ging es mit der Überquerung des OWD über die Rad- und Fußwegbrücke „Johannistal“ hinunter,durch die Altstadt Richtung Bielefelder Osten. Parallel zum Teuto fahrend führte die Tour durchParkanlagen nach Stieghorst, Hillegossen, Oldentrup, Heepen, Milse, Altenhagen, Brake und wiederSchildesche. Nach einigen erfrischenden kurzen Zwischenstopps wartete am Obersee eine ausgiebige kulinarische Pause mit Appelgebäck und esoterischen Getränken auf uns. Schließlich setzen wir zum letzten Teilstücküber Vilsendorf, Jöllenbeck nach Pödinghausen an, wo wir gegen 17:00 Uhr wieder am Sportplatz eintrafen und die Tachos 60 km Tourenstrecke anzeigten. Zum gemütlichen Ausklang im Sportlerheim mit Verpflegung von unserem örtlichen Imbiss kamen dann die gesundheitlich an diesem Tag inaktiven Sportfreunde dazu, so dass wir mit aktuell 18 Teil-nehmern vollzählig einen schönen Tourentag beendeten.

Die Pedalos treffen sich weiterhin jeden Donnerstag um 14:00 Uhr bei guten Wetter am Sportplatz. Es kann jeder mit seinem Fahrrad an den Touren teilnehmen. Die Pedalos freuen sich immer über Zuwachs!
